is there a pre op diet for lap band

I am 22 weigh 265 and am 5'8 wondering if there is a pre op diet for lapband at centennial

Hi Khristina!! I am having lap band at Centennial in Oct or Nov ,depending on how well I heal from gall bladder surgery I just had last friday also at Centennial. and YES there is a 2 day clear liquid diet before lap- band surgery required from the surgeon. Also most of the time your insurance co. will require at least one doctor supervised diet of at least 6 month duration in the past 3 to 5 years to prove you can take direction and at least tried to lose weight in the past! Look up forums and then go to lap band and go to the message board on lap band You will find so much more information for you there and also many ,many answers we are all either pre op or post op bandsters!! Good morning Christina ..You will be fine ,after you meet Dr olsen you will calm right down .all 3surgeons there are great and very very experienced , ask lots of questions, also the girls in the office can answer some of your questions if you forgot a few things during your visit with Dr, lol Arianna
