Hi Karen and congrads on getting the date. I would recommend you start on drinking 64 ozs of water a day or more, stop eating all beef or pork as they're high in fat, lay off the sugar and salt. Use substitutes, you aren't going to be able to have them after surgery anyhow. Also quit drinking sodas. Try having some soup with sugar free jello for lunch. But really start cutting back on the calories and carbs in a major way. That includes breads, pastas, potatoes. Those are starch and starch turns iinto sugar. The first 10 lbs is usually fluids, so getting used to a liquid diet like soups, sf jello, water, and white meat only in smaller portions will help you lose the 10 lbs. Don't skip a meal, just eat smaller, and slower. Think slim. Think of a new outfit, and you will lose those unwanted few pounds.

Thanks, that gives me hope. If you can lose 10 lbs in one week I should be able to do it in 2 weeks. I've been sticking to clear liquids although I have been drinking the Sugar Free Carnation in the morning. I'm also going to the YMCA and walking on the treadmill and doing water aerobics.
How many times a day did you drink it?
Wow you are doing awesome! The water aerobics are great as well as working out. Right at a week before surgery I drank 6 Carnation Instant breakfast a day and that is all I had for an entire week. It was no fun but it did help me lose weight before surgery.You should do great with all the active workouts you are doing. I bet you will surpass the 10 lbs goal for sure!
