I'm so grateful..... each day that goes by, I give thanks. 4 months have pass and I'm down 91lbs, several sizes, and am so much happier. I have pictures posted towards the bottom of my profile, if anyone is interested. I cannot believe the transformation. I hope everyone is doing well. Take care! April

Congrads April. You are catching up with me and I've been out 7 months. I weighed in last week at my surgeon's with 95 lbs lost. I am thankful for that as I have to take 3 medications (chemo included) that causes weight gain. According to the scales today at 3 different Dr.'s appointments I have lost another 4 pounds that's a total of 99 lbs lost to date. I just haven't been able to work out as much but that will change come September. Hopefully, I will be settled in and everything unpacked. You go girlfriend. It's not so hard now is it? Love Kathy

Hey April, you lost like I did, the face first, neck, and chest area, after that then it starts on the stomach. You're looking good girl. Keep it up. Maybe next year we'll be able to enter the obesity walk in Nashville. I will be moving over to that area the first of August 2007 after my 18th month check up. Then I just have to come over every January to see my surgeon and friends. Thank you very much regarding the shopping bug. I went to Walmarts to pick up something, and stopped by this Dress for less shop. I bought a size 14 calf length black skirt, a 16 cream colored shirt, a light tan Jacket with dark brown beads or something on the color, the skirt that goes with it is a print of cream, light tan, and dark brown. I also go me a black tank top. The Jacket is a size 16, but the skirt with it is too big, so I will be taking in some seams. I'm going to take it with me when I go to Nashville on Sept. 1-5. I want to have a picture made with my two grandsons, and one of each with me for their parents. That way I can put them in the Christmas cards I send out to family and close friends. Toni Miller, Melina both in Gallatin, and I plan on getting together for lunch in that area, want to join us? Send me a phone number so I can let you know when and where. Looking forward to meeting everyone while I am in that area. Anyone else in that area is welcome to come. Oh, I read the recipe with the chiles, not too many of us can handle those things as they are hot. Here's a tip substitute the sirloin burger for ground chicken, no fat, and tastes just like hamburger. More protein too. I have to drive an hour each month to Knoxville just to go to Krogers and get it. I'm going to write down that recipe as my daughter-n-love is mexican and have her make it and see what it's like. Plus the protein balls. That is something I can take with me when I have to sit at the cancer center hooked up for potassium IV's. They sound easy and yummy. Since I am out longer, I will let you know how it tastes. But if my pouch starts burning, then we'll that too, cause those critters are hot. Silvia uses them all the time. I am getting very big saddle bags, as my thighs although are getting baggy, they aren't slimming down much not like the rest of me. HMMM Couldn't sleep last night, so I worked on the boxes to unpack. Now I need to get ready to see my PCP and I'm getting sleepy. Go Figure. Love you, Kathy

Hey Kathy, I actually lost the chest first LOL My husband wasn't too keen on that lol...then the face and belly, but I'm feeling great and think I'm looking pretty good too! Doesn't it feel nice to buy nice new things to go on that nice new figure?? lol It makes you feel better overall doesn't it? I'm going to be in Florida Aug. 31-Sept. 6th so have a save trip into Nashville As for the recipe, I haven't really tried it yet. I'm limiting my carbohydrates so that means no beans and no tortillas. I had found it pre-op before I knew my nutritionists protocal of low carbs. I've had spicey foods w/o problems though... I'm pretty lucky Haven't tried the protein balls either b/c of the carbohydrates. I use turkey burger when necessary...haven't tried chicken burger. I usually just eat a lot of chicken breast and cheeses Take care of yourself. April
