Terry, Please check with your surgeon. Mine tells us to take milk of mag. (more commonly known as MOM) LOL!!! I have never had to use anything for either extreme thank goodness. Hope you are doing well. Best of luck. Sara.

I've only been constipated once since surgery and that was about a month out. I ate a lot of cheeses after my liquid stages... to scared to eat solids lol. I took Milk of Magnesia - it definitely did the trick. April

Terry, I have been told by my doctor that I am not eating enough fiber which I believe because I go for the protein first. So, I add Benefiber to my water as he suggested. Hope this helps, Carol

My surgeon told us to use a stool softener, one you can get over the counter. But check with your surgeon to see what he recommends. I did have to use one early on but not for long. Be sure to drink more fluids than you think is even possible.

Thanks Toni. I'm putting all the fliuds in that my little pouch will hold. I have a call in to Dr. Melvin's office so I should know something by tomorrow. Already learned about vominting with too much. No nausea but did vomit. I'll try not to do that again......Terry
