Protein Bars.
Hello all! How is everyone doing? Hope all is doing good. I have a question. I want to know if /or when we can have the protein bars? I am so tired of the same thing. Sick of the protein powder & I need something I can take on the run when I have to go out.If any of you know, please share w/ me. I posted this on the May board also. I am hoping to get some answers. I guess we all know how tiresome the Protein powder can get. Best of luck to all of you.

I am eating one for lunch right now. At my six week nutrition appt, she said I could have them as meal replacements (not snacks) as long as they weren't overly chewy, with nuts or caramel. So far, I am loving the Carb Solutions brand ones, The Slim Fast Low Carb ones. I got a sampling. They have been really convienent and have uped my daily protein a bunch.
Good luck trying them

Check with your surgeon and nutritionist first, some of them are kinda high in sugar so you have to be careful. Some of them are really dense and take a LOT of chewing to be able to get them down.
The Pria Complete Nutrition bars by Powerbar are pretty good, not too heavy. They have 170 cal, 22g total carbs (5g fiber, 7g sugar, 8g sugar alcohol), and 11g protein.
Always check with your surgeon or nutritionist before adding new types of foods.
