One More Step Forward

Well I called Aetna this morning to verify that they had received my paperwork. They have received it and tell me that it is "under review." Could be between 30-45 days to have an answer. Oh the misery of trying to be patient. Does anyone have any suggestions about whether or not I should call them periodically to check on the status or just leave it alone? I was given a reference number however, I don't want to bug them or tick them off. Karen

heck yeah! bug them to death! The customer service reps job is to answer all calls with respect and courtesy...they get paid to do that! Good luck april

Karen, I would call at the least every other day. They won't get upset. You probably won't even get the same person. I wish you the best of luck. Hoping you get a quick date & an easy surgery & recovery. Sara.

Hi Karen, I agree with April and Sara, the more you call the quicker it seems to get approved. By not calling, your paperwork could end up just sitting there on someone's desk. You and only you have to stay on them that way they have to record what is going on, and can tell you what is going on. Not calling makes the agony of not knowing all the more harder. Bug them every other day or two call them. May God guide you on this journey. Always here, Kathy
