Anyone had revision..Banding to Bypass?

I am waiting for approval from my insurance. I had the band done in October of 2004 and have had a lot of problems. I was wondering if anyone had gone through this transition too. Hi Christy, long time no hear from. Thank you on my weightloss. I know there have been several that have had the gasteric after having the banding. But right off hand I can't remember who they are. You might check the forum for lap banders and see if anyone there is having it done, or considering it. Best of luck and I personally think you are making a wise decision. Love Kathy

Hi Christy! It has been a while since I seen you on here. I hope everything is going ok with you. So has it been submitted already to your insurance and you are waiting for approval now? Let us know what happens. I also think you are making a good decision to Bypass. I dont have anything agianst banding but if it is not working out, then you should change to bypass. It is all about losing weight to become more healthy so keep striving for what you need. Keep me updated.Talk to you soon. Misty
