Hi Meghan! My name is Lynn. When I began to meet with surgeons and seriously research all surgical options, I was 18 years old. By January of 2007, I was 19 years old and had Laparoscopic Duodenal Switch. Since my surgery, 5.5 months ago, I've lost 86 pounds. My advice to you is that you research EVERY option. Well everything went well when i had my surgery...i have been erally busy so i wasnt able to post anything...I went to the doctors on June 14th and had the delightful news that i was down 31 pounds...I was very happy and Yeah...well I still Have some pain here and there but otherwise its going good...I am on "soft foods" and woohoo is that fun...everyday i try to experiment with something new...right now the only things that dont work are Ketchup...and cottage cheese..and any mayo items....but the list of things that does work really isnt that long...beef, (okay the first time and havnt had it again) chicken,mashed potatoes, apple sauce, eggs, shaved ham...and thats about it..for now..well yeah ill keep you posted when i have the chance....
