Hey girlie! Hi I'm Stacy I'm 20. I was feeling the same way but here I am a little over 6 months post op, which is no time at all and I'm down a little over 80 pounds, I'm 170 and a size nine!!!! It's the greatest ever! Don't worry it'll come off soon enough. Even where I'm at I get frustrated becasue now I only lose about 8-10 pounds a month, but hey at least I'm still loosing! I did talk to someone at the surgeons office and they said I could have Crystal Lite. Thank God I was dying for some flavor!! Thanx to all the answers. But I have another question. Do all the foods on the Pureed list need to be pureed? Like cottage cheese? Maybe this was answered, lol and I'm missing it ?

I just recently had my surgery on December 6th, so its only been a week from today. Um. I had RNY. And to be honest, I thought I would be in excruciating pain (lol im a drama queen sometimes i guess) and I never really was. The most pain is from the left side, and its where the JP drain is. Its exactly a week later and I'm feeling pretty good, I get tired easily though. I am in hardly any pain, only from the JP drain and its not the same pain as I had initially. At first it was pain from the inside now its turned into an annoying pain from having a tube coming out of me! haha. I get that out on Wed. My liquid phase is one week, then I have pureed for two weeks, and then I have soft for two weeks. And then after that its all foods as tolerated. So far I havn't had any problems (I hope I'm not jynxing myself) and I've been up and about pretty much the entire time. I've been walking alot and still on the Lovenox for 5 or 6 more days. I take prevacid for 4 months. Thats really all I can tell you right now, since I'm only a week out. lol. I started out at 5'2 and 248 pounds. And I've already lost 14 pounds in the first week!! hey, im jenny, 19, and had open rny on may 20, 2003 (19 mo) ive lost a total of 213 lbs so far-- i started out at 480 and am currently at 267 and still losing. i had a panniculectomy in june that removed 27 lbs of excess skin and soft tissue from my abdomen. im definietly going to need more plastic surgery in the future, but im waiting until im done losing the rest of my weight! if anyone wants to chat i have yahoo messenger and aim. feel free to email me too! jenny yahoo sn: af_right_on aim: right on AF
