I get in these moods sometimes where i just do NOT feel at ALL like updating my online journal. Almost as if it was such a hassle to me! I've been in that mood since surgery. I dont know whats wrong with me! Ill snap out of it! I write in my weightloss surgery diary i have and thats just about everyday! I love writing out my feelings. Stress releiver! Last time i checked (like, a week ago) i've already lost 40 pounds!!!! How fun!!!!!!!!!!

Topic: RE: Pain ? coffee ? to fast ?
They dont want you to drink coffee because of the caffine. And plus the acidity of the coffee. Caffine dehygerates you and depletes calcium from your bones. But i drink it anyways.lol!!! And losing 19 pounds in 2 weeks isnt bad at all! Its fantastic! I lost 20 pounds in the forst 2 weeks too! Right now im a month and 11 days out and i really pu**** with the food. I feel so guilty! I eat too much, WAY too fast. And i cant stop! So im trying this new thing...its called chewing...LOL!!! Hopefully it'll slow me down!!! In conclusion, im not your surgeon, but i'd say to try coffee, and if it doesnt agree with you, then try decaf (or the other way around if you want to try decaf first), and if that still doesnt agree with you, then wait a couple weeks and then try it again if your really craving it that bad! Coffee is SO yummy!!!!

Topic: RE: 6 days out. pureed questions.
Bleh, I was supposed to be on a pureed diet for 6 weeks (right out of the hospital) but I ended up eating any remotely soft foods withing 2 or 3 weeks. I was just rather paranoid about chewing a whole lot.
Topic: RE: Weight Loss Poll
I've lost 50lbs since my surgery on sept. 20. I started at 291 am now 241. I had open and I have a huge scar w/ keloid. Will probably need plastics but doubt I could afford it. my goal is 145 (docs goal is 130)

Amy,
I LOVED reading your profile about your pre-op experiences and keep on checking for post-op updates...but there haven't been any! How are you doing? I'm hoping that you'll continue journaling - the detail you give has been really helpful to me.

Topic: Pain ? coffee ? to fast ?
Ever since having surgery, I'm having some strange pains ?
Okay, like if I've been sitting down, or sleeping, I wake up & have pain on my .. tail bone ? That area I guess. And it wakes me up in the middle of the night and I have to keep moving around to avoid it. Anyone else have this problem?
Okay. And I'm feining for a coffee. Even a lattee at that. Some people I know, are drinking their coffee, just not in huge amounts. Some are having decaf. Will it most likely make you dump if you drink any coffee ? I dont think I want to start that, cuz of the sugar but , I'm so tempted
And finally, I'm not even two weeks out. It'll be two weeks tomarrow. And I've lost 19 pounds. Is this to fast ?!
And I swear - I thought I felt hungry yesterday so I ate some yogurt and got full right away. But I was afraid of the hunger I felt. Does anyone else get that way ?!!
Topic: RE: Ok I guess I will speak!?
My psych didnt go horrible but it wasnt the greatest. I guess he had information from past therapists I had seen, and saw this as a problem?
He wanted to talk about some things that went on in the past and some depression I had and I almost felt like I had to convince him that surgery was right for me. But in the end, he gave his okay and it was fine.
