Hi, Newbie here...at least to the website. My mother and father both have had WLS...my mom told me that there was a teen forum...soo here I am, I thought it would be better to be able to meet some people going through the same things as I. This Friday, I am going to the hospital for my EGD. I am pretty nervous, but I guess its only natural. I am sure I will be posting again soon. I just want to say that I saw just a few peoples pictures on here of before and afters, and you guys look amazing! It even brought a smile to my face. Great job guys.

After being dinied for gastric bypass surgery my mom, me and a doctor wrote an appeal to my insurnce company trying to get the surgery. then another worker there denied out appeals and she did not do it professionally so we ended up having a phone confrence with the insurance companys appeals court, after about 11 mins. the confrence ended. i was told in 5 to 7 bussiness days i would hear an answer. well about a half hour after the call ended i received another call the lady told me that they all 3 voted yes for me to have my surgery and that i had been approved. i was in amazment when i heard the great news! i was and am really happy. now i am just waiting to here back from cincicnnatis childrens hospital to have a surgery date set.
