Topic: Its been awhile. More ?'s like always ..
It's been awhile since I've posted on here. So far, I've lost 47 pounds.
I'm worried though. VERY WORRIED. Okay this is the situation.
I'm worried I'm eating to much.
Today I ate ...
1.5 chicken strips
3 bites of potatoes
1 meatball
4 bites of a meat an cheese sandwich
??? It seems like a lot. And lately its been crazy, I've been on the go alot more then usual and I've even started eating fast food .. like the chicken nuggets kids meal ... I mean, I'm just so mad at myself right now.
Im going to a private meeting with a dietician soon. And also I'm going back to support group. I am hoping that will help me.
My surgeon's office told me I might be eating more since my period was due, but it never came. And I never stopped getting hungry. I am not constantly hungry, but before I NEVER got hungry and now I do get hungry.
The other issue. I'm having some issues with feeling a "burning" in my stomach. Anyone know about this ?
Topic: RE: Lapband
You need to do the research for yourself but it seems overall that lap band has slower weight loss and rny very quick. Since you are young you need to think about your future too. I had lapband becasue I'm 24 and I want to have children someday. Of course you can when you have rny but rny is a malabsorbsion procedure which means that the regular nutrients that you get from foods is not absorbed into your bloodstream and can cause you to take vitamin B-12 shots for the rest of your life and take vitamins everyday. Lapbanders should also take a multivitamin everyday but if we don't we're not going to have a vitmin deficiency becasue we can still absorb nutirents from food. I also didn't want my organs cut-and-pasted in my body and I know that when I do get pregnant I can have all the fill taken out of my band to accomadate for more calorie intake. It's really you're presonal decision but just a little more background info for you.
Topic: RE: any post-op lap banders?
Hey Becca,
I hear ya on the eating too much thing. God, I love food.. and really that's never going to change. BTW, I'm 24 and was banded in July 2003. At one point I had too much fill and PBed every day and now I have 2.2cc's of fill and could use some more becasue I can really eat too much. It just sounds like you need more fill. It does really help. Although, I hate that sweets go down so well. But it sounds like you're doing great with your weight loss really! I started at 249 and am now about 180 so that's only 70 lbs for me and I've been post-op way longer than you. I'm pretty happy though, still have the fat but I can wear a size 12. Just get another fill and you should be good.

I was banded back in July (I'm 22). I guess the only thing I can think of is you prolly need a fill?
Your weight loss is great!

Topic: any post-op lap banders?
Hey guys! I really need help. I was banded end of August and my mind is starting to play tricks on me again! I'm starting to eat again like I used to and I can't make myself stop! Anyone else going through or went through this? I've tried all those "mantras" like "my body is not a garbage can" and all that stuff, but I just can't stop. Does anyone have any suggestions? And yes, I've thought about getting my mouth stapled shut!

I had lap I couldn't tell what you had lap or open. But the scars will itch it's kind of a sign that the tissue is healing.
