god bless you and I hope that everything goes smooth! It is horrible to be a teenager and not be able to look like everyone else, isnt it. I know the surgery will go great and you are in my prayers and close to my heart!

Im 23!!!! Go twenties people!
I dont mind going to my state message board at all... but I do agree... talking to some 40+ old just isnt the same. I want someone that is my age and going through the same issues!

Topic: LOST
Im 15 going on 16 and i was wondering if any one has had the surgery at this young age. im 278lbs.
Even over the years i ahve tryed my diets and excersize programs from my doctor and stayed on them for long peroids of time and not one have work. I just want to be healthy and happy with myself. Another reason why is because my aunt who i am just like (body wise) died at the age of thirty because she was so over weight she died of a heart attach in her sleep and i dread every day when i have to go to sleep becasue i might not wake up that is why i am so dedicated to find a doc. to help me become healthy and happy not just for me but so my family can see me every morning
Please help me SAMANTHA MARRS
Topic: RE: What really good about Alcohol?
Hi! I cant say I'm such an experienced drinker but from what I have tried I havn't found a difference before and after. Mainly speaking of different drinks mixed with vodka. Some people say you might get drunk faster, but I've never drank enough before or after to get near that. So basicaly my experience says no.
Hope that helped! BTW the reason surgeons will advise you not to is because it is just "empty" calories, but I don't believe it can hurt you. Check with a doc just to be sure!
Cheers!

Topic: RE: I'm needing help.. im just so confused
dont be confused, i know it looks like its a never ending mound of research and test but belive me..its all worth it...i have been at this for two years, and this is my third dr, i went and met them all, i didnt like the vibe i got from em, finally i found one that i liked, and he did the surgery i wanted. so yeah...its a long road but the treasure at the end is great.

Whats up, have any of you experienced drinking with the Lap-Band, I was just wondering if it any different after the surgery?
Topic: I'm needing help.. im just so confused
Hello everyone, i seen that there is a teen forum, so i thought i'd come check it out. I'm 20 yrs old, and i've been overweight my whole life. I mean and the doctors i've been to have never really done anything about it. Or mentioned ways to help me out, i have such a low self-esteem. I have chronic GERDS, and i've had bladder problems since i was 9 yrs old. I've been considering getting weight loss surgery. I've been doing research, but im still so confused. Like do you have to get the surgery okay'd by your primary physician, and then check with your insurance company to see where you may go? Then what if your doctor won't approve the surgery? I have so many questions and if you could help me out. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] anytime. I really am considering getting this done. I just need to know exactly how to go about it.
Thanks so much,
Jamie
