Topic: RE: loose skin and the younger set?
I've lost about 110 lbs 9 months out from surgery. My skin is pretty loose....I'm gonna need lotsa plastic surgery, especially if i lose all of the 50 lbs i have left. It really depends on the person and where they carry their weight. So, you never know, you could be one of the lucky ones. Good luck!

Topic: loose skin and the younger set?
i'm 21 (not a "teen" i know THANKS!) but I think I probably have more in common with "teen skin" than with the members in their 30s/40s and up. i assume younger skin has more elasticity and adapts better to the fast weight loss. a friend of mine who's 23 recently lost over 100lbs in 7 months (without surgery, so she says!) and was a good 80lbs heavier than me and she doesn't have extra skin. it's just a tiny looser and she still has more weight to lose, so it could just be flab. i'm hoping i'm so lucky. what's everyone's experience been?

Topic: RE: i have decided
Hey there,
As the others have said, the VGB isn't really recommended anymore. From what I know, people who did it years ago are having revisions to other things now. Of course, do your research and decide what's best for you.
I had the Lap Band done in July, if you are interested in any of the details for that, feel free to email me or AIM me. I'm usually around.
Like I said though, despite what anyone says, you have to do what's right for YOU.

I agree, if your gunna get banded, i dont reccomend them, but if you are gunna get banded get the lap band instead of the other one. BUT AGAIN, whatever you do, do alotta research so you know the complications, success and failure rates and such before you go into surgery.
