Hey everyone i just wanted to let you all know that everything went fine. i am doing so great. i dont have hardly any pain and no gas or shoulder pain as of yet. anyways i have to give it to Frances she is the best angel anyone could ever ask for. She bought be the best pillow and i have kept it by my side the whole time. it comes in handy when i have to cough. anyways i would love to write more but im feeling the need to walk a little so i will write more later. anyways thanks so much for all of your prayers they sure did work. with all my love nikki lynn dicapo

ashley, you should join a weightloss group...something like overeaters anonymous....sometimes its feels lonely in this world and they can help you out....I wish I lived close by, I would help mentor you even though I am battling with obesity myself. We would do it together....dont give up.....you will make it....I promise!

Basic HTML will work in the "update" portion of your profile. Just throw it in there like you would if you were building a web page (but you don't need to add in the tag, etc) just start entering the code.
If you ask the OH staff to update your profile, you'll be on a waiting list, as it's all done by volunteers (I want to volunteer, but I need to wait until I have some of that free time stuff). Then you send them your images and they'll get it all set up for you. I did mine myself and my images are on my own webspace to be pulled for use in my profile.

Sometimes being young can help, but it depends on the person, and genetics, and how long you've been big, etc.
Stretch marks are like scar tissue, so they have 0 elasticity, so you are right, whereever there are stretch marks, your skin isn't going to bounce back. I'm 23, and I am no where near goal yet, but I think that I am going to want to have my tummy, thighs and breasts done. I've heard that the arm surgery is the most painful one (probably because a person uses their arms so much, and moves them more after surgery), so I want to avoid that one if at all possible.

Thank you so much much for your kind words! i've been so overweight my whole life and been put down i have no self confidence. but in your case i hope you get the surgery. i feel its the key the healing obesity. if u need any advise or wanna talk let me know.

Topic: Post-op ? about skin?
Hello everyone-
After you have the surgery and lose the weight I hear that if your young and your skin still has elasticity then you won't have to have any surgery done on ur arms, thighs, breasts, butt or anywhere except maybe the stomach. How true is it? Please tell me. I'm 21 and the excess skin will be an issue at least on my tummy bc of the stretch marks. I heard where there are stretch marks the skin doesn't go back.
