Howdy!!! Well I know EXACTLY how you feel. It was like you were describing me! lol. I do have one suggestion about talkin to your doctor. Do what I did...write a letter explaining anything and everything you know about that surgery: pros and cons, risks, results, life changes, and how you feel about it. Explain what your life has been like while being overweight. I gave it to my doctor...he read it, and said "you don't need to say anymore...your letter explained it perfectly." So that should solve your anxiety of talking face to face. Besides, it looks really good if the doctor sends that letter to insurance. Even though my insurance didn't pay, it's still a plus for them to see the letter. It proves alot of stuff to them. Well...I hope I helped you out a little bit!!! Good luck! *~!~*MITZI*~!~*

Howdy!! Congrats on your surgery and great weight loss!! I had g.bypass on June 1st. So far I'm down 23 pounds...and I can fit in a 12/14 bathing suit instead of a 16/18!! So I'm really happy. hey Laura, I was 21 when I had the surgery and 315lbs.(5'11) I now weigh 183lbs and yes, I am thinking about having plastic surgery. My skin is really bad. I was told not to worry about it because I am so young it will "bounce back". The truth is it doesn't matter how old you are, once the elastisity is gone from your skin(stretch marks) it is gone. Not to sound negative because hell, I am happy with my skin hehe...just being realistic. Also, I really wouldn't worry about it, everyone is different. I wish you luck on your journy! I'm not a teenager, but I am in my early 20's, 22 to be exact. I was just wondering who of the young people fell they need plastic surgery or will need it after they loose their weight. I am still pre op but I will probably have my surgery next week, and was just wondering about this.
