Hey Yall! First of all CONGRATS TO ALL YOU LOSERS OUT THERE!!! I had my surgery on June 7th and I am 6weeks and 2days out and i have lost 37lbs.. Good luck to everyone and I will be posting new pics soon. Brittany

I am really realy fustrated and sad. In May I was told that I would be having my surgery in August. A date was even set. But the I had then yesterday I had to go to the hospital for this little appointment. They preceded to tell me that as of August 1st anyone having a gastric bypass must go to several appointments that may take up to six months to do. They just changed how things went out of nowhere. So, if by August 15th I have not been able to go to all of the appointments that I am requiered to do now because they are full, my surgery will be pushed back. That is so not far becuase if they were going to change it like this I could have done all of these appointments in the nearly 2 years that I was waiting to have the surgery. I am sad and things feel so hopeless now....

Hi Monica, Im Meagan.... I was in the same boat as your son is... I still am at 19 I am 320lbs... There are some some surgeons that will operate on younger teens... the youngest I have heard of was 14 but there might be ones out there younger... as for types of surgery... its a personal decision... My teen boy is 13 and weighs 210 lbs. I want to do something about his weight. I have tried for him to eat healthier but he just doesn't like veggies or fruits...He is very active but he doesn't lose weight. Please cany any teen out there help me with some advice or suggestions on Weight Loss surgeries for his age? Thank you, Monica
