Aww...I totally feel what you are saying...It is so hard not being able to do all the "normal" things. It f'ing sucks so bad sometimes but don't let it get you down! There is a light at the end! I hope you get your surgery soon! Just remember we are all beautiful no matter what size.

Topic: RE: my nephew needs WLS but he is affraid?
Hi Lisa...I'll chat with him anytime. I'm a major believer of WLS. It works. I'm still post op though, I'm going through a sixth month class required by my insurance. How old is he? It is a scary thing for younger people because they have to be sure they are ready because it is a lifetime commitment and without proper care you can fail. I would introduce him to this website and this teenage forum because it has helped me sooo much you wouldnt believe...All the people here are wonderful and so informative. And if he doesnt want to talk, which I didn't at first because I was so embarrased, he can just read all the profiles and look at all the before and after pictures. He will come to find that for most people. esepecially of his age, the surgery is very easy and has very minimal pain. That is what eased my distress most the time. But when it comes down to it he has to want to do it for himself. Email me anytime at [email protected]. Tamara

Topic: Just a little update!!!
Hello All, I hope everyone is doing well. I have been terribly busy lately, thats the reason why I havent been posting. Well I have lost 86 pounds so far while on this journey, and I only been on this journey for a little less than 4 months. I am getting terrific results. I feel much better now that I am a little liter. But anyway I have had three fills. I am up to 9.5 ccs on my Vanguard Band. Its has been a wonder experience so far. Hey for all you people that live in New York be sure to watch me on Sunday November 27. I was interviewed by Diana Williams the Anchor for Channel 7. They did a follow up story and its going to be aired on Sunday. Please watch it. Well take Care for now. Daniel 410/380/324/220~goal

Topic: stressed!
I'm kinda new to this site, but i've never been to this section. I'm glad that there are other teens in my same situation. I'm 17 yrs old and im waiting to see what happens with my whole surgery situation. I'm going back to my second visit to see my surgeon to see if I have all the paperwork I need in order to send out the letter to my insurance. I hope they say I can get it. I want this so bad. It's hard wanting to do certain things but not being able to. I feel like i have a chain wrapped around my legs.....Sometimes i just feel like screaming...o well I know I shouldn't stress it but it's hard not to when every time I look in the mirror I'm reminded of how my life would be so much better if i was thinner..._smiles_ I think I can get the surgery It's just the uncertainty thats killing me...lolz thankz for listening... -Bo0gi3z
