Topic: Feeling really down
So.. I waited and waited for Dr. Wynn's office to call me back so that I could make a consultation appointment..because they said that they didnt have her September schedule, and couldn't yet make the appointment. Well.. we called and called..nothing. =[ They took down all my information..but they haven't called back. This must be the discouragement everyone has been talking about. I feel like I will always be trapped in this horrible body of fat. My best friend & I have made a workout routine that we try to follow, its hard sometimes becuase of our college/work schedules..but we tend to make it work. I thought that working out at least would help me lose some weight..but its been about 2 weeks--and no progress. I can honeslty say ive been very good with my serving sizes. If I crave ice cream [my worst enemy] i'll only get a very little bit just enough to get rid of the craving [maybe this is bad?] Thats happened about twice in the past 2 weeks. I did have cake & ice cream tonight for a bday party. Maybe God just wants me to stay like this? I mean, why wouldn't Dr. Wynns office call back? Maybe we just have to pester them. It would help if my Mom were as passionate about this as she was about her weight loss. I feel like im held back because im only 17 [18 in december], and i need my parents to hold my hand on everything--at least, thats what the law seems to think. *sigh*
Thanks to anyone who listened/read my venting. I just feel so DOWN. ='[
Fat & Hopeless,
Vanessa

Hey all pre-op teens! I'm 17 years old I just had RNY surgery on September 14th, so far it is really hard on me I can't handle any kind of protien. You will suffer some of what people call "post op depression" but you will get over it. I'm so glad I did it and even though I am still only about 2 weeks post op but all the tears are worth what is going to become of me. Believe it or not my family says I already look like I've lost some weight, then again being on liquids since the 13th I better have! lol I was chosen by my surgeon to almost be their poster child I have a story on the news and in 3 newspapers my main goal is to reach out to other teenagers that maybe don't know that weight loss surgery is avalible to us and we dont have to suffer till we are 18. Anyways if you want to talk go ahead and email me. OR you can visit my blog at

Take Care everyone!

Hey hun- thanks for the response! I know exactly what you mean. Everyone tells me "your not fat" or "you dont look that big" or "you dress yourself so well nobody notices".... HAHAHAHA I see it in their faces IM FAT, everyone else knows it too. I can see that even in class people think twice about sitting next to me. If there are two seats left and one is next to me they go right to the other one. That hurts- Im not a bad person, I just have a problem. I just dont know how its going to be when I actually do lose the weight and then everyone wants to be my friend and be around me, Im afraid Ill be angry like WHERE WERE YOU A FEW MONTHS AGO? I dont want to be around people who think they are too good for me now. Same as far as a boyfriend goes. But pshhh whatever. Ill deal. There are tons of great people out there. WOW sorry got a bit off track haha. But anways GOOD LUCK TO YOU! I just read your page- what are you going to do now as far as surgery and insurance and stuff? Any plan B? Ive waited for so long, I know how you feel. But hopefully you'll be on the losing side and we can both cheer up haha.
XOXO

Nope, I had RNY. I don't think I'm a super healer... lol. I think us being young helps us bounce back alot easier than older people. So yay for us!!!
