im going insane help....

Hey im sure everyone had cold feet before surgery but I think im driving my self crazy im 5'7 230 I hold my weight we'll so it dosent look like im big but I feel awful pcos, insulin resistance, stress incontinece, and I cant get preg.. All at the tender age of 21 .. I never really tried will all my heart to diet... Its kinda hard I think I have an addiction to food... I do it for a while loose and gain im sure we all had that problem ...Im just scared to death of dying I mean there is alot I havent done in life notyet.. I been smoking for many years a pack a day and I was told to stop 6 wks before surgery and im still smoking and surgery is in 17 days .... Any one have comments or suggestions or advice of any sort?

You have PCOS too! I know how you feel PCOS is hell! Ughh..That's all I had to say. Good Luck though. Try some stop smoking things on the market or on TV. lol Give them a try. Or even go to a hypnosis if you have to. TRY girl! Dont give up you can do it!! Good Luck by the way!

I have PCOS too, which causes infertility...its a horrible thing. I don't know what to tell you about the smoking, but you should definitely try something soon! Your lungs might be very weak during surgery if you continue to smoke so close to your date. I am surprised that your surgeon is allowing you to have the surgery if you haven't made any very serious attempts at dieting. I would also suggest that if you had to have a psych. evaluation that you either go back to them, or some type of therapist that can help you if you really do think you have an addiction to food. Surgery is a very serious thing and you want to make sure that you can stick to a diet after you have it. I understand what you're saying about dieting for a period of time, but then gaining everything back...its like that for most of us. I hope I'm not being harsh. There are way too many people that have this surgery and think that its going to be some magical overnight transformation that requires no work whatsoever. -Not saying that you're like that but I just hope that anyone who wants this surgery knows that its only a tool.
