Any other teenagers getting, or interested in getting a lap band. I'm on my way to get mine. I have to go to my doctor on Tuesday, and then make an appointment with Dr. Fiallo. Ughh! Anyone? BTW: I'm 16 going on 17 in 2 months!
Hey Nichoel,
I was very interested in the lap band when i started my journey. But in the end I found out it wasnt right for me and my insurance would not cover any WLS except RNY, so I am in the middle of my journey, Next appointment (march 10th) we will be telling my doctor (after she told me to sit down and talk it over with my family) that we are ready and wanting the surgery IM SO EXCITED! Good luck with the lap band and I hope everything works out. Keep me updated and tell me how it goes!!!!
BTW: I'm 16 too!

I am having the lap band surgery done as well. I am SO excited, but a little worried as to how this is all going to pan out. I haven't heard a lot of lap band success stories, but I am eager to be one of them. If anyone else is considering the lap band or has already HAD it, I'd LOVE to hear from you!
You can also email me @ [email protected]!
Thnx guys!

I was looking for teens who already had Lapband surgery and have any pictures before and after even if it is just 2 weeks after.
QUESTION:???
So I am pretty much getting the LAPBAND surgery and I want to know if you told all of your friends before or after ot neither---you had surgery.
Here is my problem, my friends want me to play football and workout everyday, however with my surgery I will be missing alot of practices and games. They think I am just being lazy and I was wondering what you think, if I should tell them that I am getting A surgery and tell them it is like back surgery or tell them I am getting Lapband.
THANKS!!!
Nate
