Any 20 somethings on here?!
Hello?! I feel like I'm in the wrong message board. I don't belong in the forty something board or whatever it is, but I don't feel like I belong here EiThEr! I thought maybe...one day...I'd just fit in....
Well, thought I'd share with everyone that I just posted my 4 month progressive photos. If you want to check it out, feel free. I see alot of people on here are debating surgery or are still pre-op. I have lots of info and photos. Maybe it'll help someone out there.
I had no complications, not too much pain, and the big question...
DO I REGRET IT?
Um....NOooOOoO!!! I regret not doing it sooner.

Hi Lap, I feel the same way lol too old for this board and too young for the main board. I am 22 years old, 5'5" 238. Haven't had surgery yet but am on my way. I'll have my first consultation with my surgeon on the 8th , I cant wait to get this rolling already. I just want to add that you look great , I can't wait to be on the losing side also.
Hi Lap!
I am 23 years old and almost 10 months post op LAP RNY. I have lost 115 pounds and feel great. You look great! WOW what a difference! Just imagine as time goes on how tiny you will be. I am short like you and also have 2 skinny sisters that weigh about 115 (sooooo frustrating ). I hope to get down that low but I will probably struggle to get to 125-130. Congrats on your awesome progress! Keep up the good work!

I felt the same way on the other message boards! I am 21 now, I had my surgery 8 days after my 20th birthday. I have lost 144lbs so far and I want to loose about 15 more. I was 5'9" and 293lbs! So now I am at 149 and I would love to be about 135-140. My doctor says he's pleased but if I would like to loose a little more to go for it! My only problem is the initial weight gain was do to a medical problem and it was very rapid. I now have a little excess skin in my stomach area. Everyone, including my husband, says I should wait until AFTER kids to get a tummy tuck, but I don't want kids for 3-5 years and I don't want to wait that long for a perfect tummy! Anyway I am glad to see some other people near my age out there! KC
KC,
I am in the same boat as you. I want kids but not quite yet, and I need some major PS reconstruction (Tummy, Arms and breast). And I know after I have a baby I will not be able to be out of commission very long much less have enough money to get it. I have lost 115 lbs. but would like to lose about 20 more. I hope I can make it! Congrats on the great loss. You have done an awesome job! Keep up the good work!

wOW! What an amazing 20th....and 21st birthday gift you gave yourself! Your weight loss is amazing! Wow! Who would've ever thought that it would be possible to ever fit into a size 12 (giggle giggle) for me anyway! At 149 lbs standing at 5'9" you must be like in a size 3 or 5! Congratulations!!!
But as for the extra skin...I worry about that. I can already see that I need work in the arms and breasts...argh! Gross... I don't even want to look at it. Whatever. I'll take hanging skin over inflated, bloated me of then ANY DAY!
