Finally My Surgery is Coming

Hi! I have been waiting to have a gastric bypass since last summer. I was approved then but put on a waiting list because so many people wanted it done. Now, I found out a few days ago that I will be having my surgery in August. I am so excited and I can not wait. I am a little nervous but I know that it is for the best. Does anyone have some advice that you think that I could use?

hey congrates on your surgery. i'm still waiting to find out about it from me. but my doctor told me one thing that said will help with the weight loss more. do not look at the scales. he said u will work harder if u dont know ur doing good. i hope everything goes well for u and maybe i will be approved soon too.

i'm really nervous. i dont like pain and i know there is going to be a drain they will have to pull out and that does not feel good at all. i work at a hospital and i see drains pulled out all the time. it sucks. i'm having laporscopic. what r u having?

hey- i'm having laporscopic as well. i had laprosopic surgery when i had my gall bladder taken out when i was like 10 or 11. it is so much better then being just cute open. it still hurts to cough and stuff but its not as bad. i am not really afraid of the pain because i have had a lot of surgerys and for me its just like here we go again. i think that i am just nervous about how it will feel eatting again. i dont really eat as it is but it still worries me.
