loose skin and the younger set?

i'm 21 (not a "teen" i know THANKS!) but I think I probably have more in common with "teen skin" than with the members in their 30s/40s and up. i assume younger skin has more elasticity and adapts better to the fast weight loss. a friend of mine who's 23 recently lost over 100lbs in 7 months (without surgery, so she says!) and was a good 80lbs heavier than me and she doesn't have extra skin. it's just a tiny looser and she still has more weight to lose, so it could just be flab. i'm hoping i'm so lucky. what's everyone's experience been?

I've lost about 110 lbs 9 months out from surgery. My skin is pretty loose....I'm gonna need lotsa plastic surgery, especially if i lose all of the 50 lbs i have left. It really depends on the person and where they carry their weight. So, you never know, you could be one of the lucky ones. Good luck!

I am 21 and I had my surgery in May. It has just about 10 months now and I have gone from 320, to about 185ish. That is about 135lb lost. I still can't believe it at times. I started at a size 28 and about 2xl-3xl shirts. I am now a 14/16 and a large shirt. Thats a little bit nuts even writing that out. As of right now. I have lose skin. Mostly in my arms, stomach and thigh area. My doctor told me he has high hopes that I won't need much surgery, but we'll see. He told me I really need to stay on top of the toning, I'm not so sure. The leg thing I dont mind that much, but the stomach is a bit worse, as are the arms. The arms annoy me because they look thinner from the top but then you see the side and it's like WOAH. My breasts are also horrid, they resemble two flatted balloons.

ya the whole body lift scares me. You would think that would motivate more to want to tone more,b ut it doesnt. :X Well whatever happens, I'll be getting my breasts done.

also a factor in the skin elasticity is genetics.

I had gb in november. I've lost about 75 lbs and my skin is still pretty normal. I excersise frequently though. my boobs have not gotten any smaller and if they dont, ill get a reduction and lift. if they do get smaller, i imagine they will sag quite a bit. my thighs are a little loose, but my stomach and arms are not yet. i have a male coworker who had the surgery over a year ago. when i first met him, 7 months ago, he was saggy. but now that hes stopped losing weight so fast, he has been able to tone up. he still has a little squish in his tummy, but everything else (that i've seen) is normal.
