Wtf?!?
How much have you lost ?
I'm about 3 and a half weeks out and I've lost 29 pounds. I'm not even really sure whats average weight loss in the beginning. But you had DS, I dont really know much about DS at all. I had RNY maybe its different ???? lol I really have no idea but I'm sorry. ((hugs)) I'm sure it'll pick up.
amy,
i know i'm still pre-op, but i honestly have done a lot of reading on the forums in the past few months on various different boards...one thing everyone warns against is eating while drinking because it slows down weightloss but speeds passing through your pouch...i noticed in your reply to another post that you do drink with meals..so maybe that could be the problem? drinking with would fill you up and pass everything through a lot faster, causing you to eat less protein and absorb less than you should and so on...
no offense from this babe, i'm just telling you what i've learnt, and wonder if you've considered that to be a reason as to why ur not happy with your loss? just a thought...if you think otherwise, maybe just ask your surgeon?
all the best hun,
Aleya L.
I think that though out losing weight... you lose like 20 lbs. then it stablizes for a while then you lose again... then stablizes maybe plateau for a while then you lose weight again. Its very frusterating! All of october and november i was fighting for weight just to come off like working out 2 hrs. of cardio a day 5x a week hardly anycame off, then all of a sudden without looking 19 lbs was gone in december with less exercise.
Girl you have to relize you body is basically going into shock. You HAVE lost almost 50 lbs in less than 2 months. That is half of what i have lost in 6 months. Right now your body is saying " ok i just dropped 50lbs now i need to relax for a week " Don't weigh for 2 weeks ( i know seems way to long ) and i bet when you weigh in 2 weks you will be shocked at how much you lost.
