New here :)

Hey everyone. I'm new to this entire website, just wanted to introduce. I'm Brittany, and I'm from Elmhurst, IL. I'm 19. I'm scheduled to have RNY on December 3rd. (OMG thats only a week away!!!). I'm really nervous. scared. and excited. I just wanted to get to know other people around my age, having the surgery, ect. Also if there is anyone from around my area too ??

Well I'm not from your area but I'm also 19 and getting surgery three days after you, so hi

I am having the surgery lapriscopically. Well, my surgeon said that if their isan't alot of scar tissue I will, but if he finds alot, he'll have to do it open. I had a lapriscopic surgery 3 years ago, for my gall bladder and I guess I had a ton of scar tissue .... but I'm hoping I wont have to have it open actually. I'd be twice as scared of that!

Now I actually didn't know it was a matter of scar tissue. So if you have a lot of scar tissue they will do open- but scar tissue where?? I have scars on my stomach, but I don't think that will make a difference.. will it?
