stupid sleep test!

my doctor requires you to get a sleep test before surgery...no problem. but i called to make an appointmen today and the next available opening isnt untill januarty 20th! this kills be because i wanted to have my surgery between thanksgiving and christmas! i guess theres hope tho, she said im on the top of her list for cancellations

Hey Michael, thats the test for sleep apnea right? Do u think u have sleep apnea? because if u feel u dont have it I dont see why u have to take the sleeping test. My mom tells me that I have it because when I sleep she says that I stop breathing. I have to take my test very shortly. Well good luck and happy thanksgiving!

Michael! Calm down! lol! Theres always cancellations!! I had to take a sleep test. Oh my gosh, most uncomfortable thing EVER! AND, then their taking off all the wires, there are like, 4-5 glued to your face REALLY tight. And when she took them off of my face, there was the red mark/indent the ENTIRE rest of the day. Im talking about from 6 a.m. till i went to bed that night!! I didnt go anywhere! It hella hurt too! And they have to put SO much glue in your hair!!! EW!!! Anyways, lets all pray for cancellations which their WILL be because Jan. 20 is SO far away!!! ~Amy post-op DS 11-5-04

Hi, wow amy, that sounds like a whole ordeal you had to go through... I am just posting to let some of you at ease if you have to get a sleep test: MINE WAS A TAKE HOME! thank goodness for that. I only had one strap on device and it connected from my chest (but i wore it outside my pj's) and then it went to something that was taped to my finger... so for me i didnt have any glue or anything like that...
