Hey guys :)
Hi,
My name is Mari. I've been at the boards since last Feb(I posted more before and after my surgery but with school and work I haven't posted as much). I had my surgery on May 14th, so by next week it will have been 6 months already. Wow. I'm down 100lbs.
It's interesting. Some days are much harder then others and I have doubt if I can control myself. I mean...my stomach is almost healed so eatinga half a cup/cup of food seems like a lot(which it isnt, compared to what use to be able to eat, 2 cheeseburgers, friends and a soda for example. lol) But I'm having a hard time even eating that much without getting concerned. But I know it's all part of it.
But I am trying. My 21st birthday is in two weeks, it is going to be a very happy one. I just wanted to say hi and take a more active role in the forums!

I had surgery in March. I still have days where it is hard to eat anything then days were I want to graze. It's strange I even asked my surgeon regarding it, and he said that it is very common part of RNY especially micropouches. If you can eat more than a cup less than a year after surgery then there is concern for a broken staple line or another complication. Happy birthday!!! Too bad you can't really drink, but if you do stay away from mix drinks ( way too much sugar), shots (just to hard on the pouch), and beer (foam made me sick).
