HI All, I hope all is well! Well I have a question?? Is it normal to pay for your own nutrionist??? I am planing to have surgery with Dr. Fielding at NYU Medical Center in NY. But I am not sure if its normal to pay $250 out of my pocket for a nutrionist!! Please let me know if I am doing the right thing by paying for the nutrionist?? Daniel

it actually depends on ur insurance dr, nutritionist and such, like the one dr i was going to havem he was going to make me pay for it outta pocket, but since i went to another doctor the hospital hes associated with does a free nutricianal consultation for all baratric patients

I didnt have to pay for my nutritionist, but i DID have to pay 150.00$ for my phyc exam. But its all worth it in the end!!!!!!!!! ~Amy pre-op DS 11-5-04
