Hi again..I was wondering, when we are all in the mushy food stage can we eat baby food. That would be great if we could b/c its all different foods, has added nutrition and is already in itty bitty portions that you can close up and come back to later...I never see anyone talk about it though, thats why I was wondering. Anyways, any help is much appreciated..Thanks!

I remember hearing about that! Someone was talking about that they bought alot of baby food but then after surgery it tasted discusting because after surgery, alot of your tastes change. So my advice is to just buy a couple little cans and see which ones you like! Good luck! ~Amy

I definitely bought a lot of babyfood for the pureed phase, but definitely YUCK!! I think it's still in our pantry! If you are going to buy some, just get a little to start out with!

My surgeon had me on a water diet ( boullion, water, sugar free pops etc) for two weeks after surgery. After that I went on a mushy/soft food for about a month and a half since my pouch was super senstitive. It was eggs, fat free refried beans, sugar free yogurt, some baby foods ( becareful of the high sugar in some of these). I didn't do much with the baby foods since they tend to have a crap full of sugar in them which made me dry heave constantly after I had them. I suck to fat free cottage chesse more since the pouch tended to do better with that then anything else.
