Hi. My name is Amanda. Im 16 years old.. and i have a surgery date Tuesday sept 7th...im really scared of goin in and not comin out...and i was thinkin about backin out but im goin to go through with it but im reallly reallly scared... Amanda

wow good luck to you. i start school that day and my boyfriend leaves for the army that day. im 17 and im pre op, and i got denied today. im hoping to have the surgery. my aunt had it and she came out fine i think you will do okay. good luck and peace be with you. p.s. whenever i have surgery i always take a stuffed animal that is small with me so it comforts me while im asleep. ashley

Hey Amanda! I'm 18 and just had surgery in may, so I TOTALLY know what you are going through! I could tell you not to be scared, but it is definitely a scary thing and you should not deny yourself that feeling. On the other hand, even though I was super scared too, I tried to keep reminding myself of all the great things that will result with is this surgery. You will not even believe it! Stay strong! Hi Amanda, i'm 17 and i've never had WLS, i wasn't morbidly obese, just obese i suppose. In any case i would be scared too, i hate the thought of even small surgery, but its perfectly natural. Everyone thinks of backing out before big things such as WLS, but once its done you'll be thanking yourself that you did go for it in the end. Good luck to you, i wish you all the best. Wow Amanda good luck!!! Dont be scared because this procedure as been performed millions of times!!!!! I am in my pre op stage and I am 16 also! Good Luck!!!
