getting close to pick a date

hello everyone, i'm new here. i was wondering if anyone had any helpful advice. i'm going to get surgery in about a month. i still have to go through my nurtition classes, bands classes, and psychology class before the surgery. my surgon said after the bands classes we can pick a date for surgery. i'm getting a little nervous. is there anything that i can do to prepare myself for surgery. something to make it run smoother? my mum is starting scare me with all her crazy factoidz she makes up. she's not so much behind me. my dad is all for the surgery though. i just want this to go as smoothly as possible. thank you all very much!!!
