A little freaked out...

Hey guys! I'm kind of a lurker here, reading a lot and not posting, but I just kind of need to vent. On Wednesday I came home from college with a full blown cold, and knowing perfectly well that I am scheduled for surgery on tuesday the 25th. So obviously when I went for my pre-op physical I was a little worried that my PCP might say that I would have to reschedule my surgery. Instead she gave me some antibiotics for my respiratory infection and instructed me to take lots of iron in the next few days (supposively my hemaglobin was super low). So tomorrow I'm going in for some more blood tests to see if my condition has gotten any better, and I am honestly just SO scared that I'll have to postpone my surgery ! I feel like I'm on borrowed time anyway being that I only have a few months before school starts back up again. Thanks for listening to my ramblings! Jenny

Thanks Shannon!!! I went to my PCP today and found out that my hemaglobin is much better (somehow it increased one whole gram in 4 days) and my white blood cell count is going down, so I have a green light for surgery tomorrow! Just had my bowel prep and am now on clear liquids and getting ready for bed. See ya on the flip side!
