YAY!!!????!!!!!????!!!!????SEPTEMBER

Ok, So I went to my consult today 1.) Surgeon!!! Dr. Leo Murphy Went over the procedure, in depth, more than any reading or seminar has made me understand. My BMI is to high to safely do the surgery without having a lot of risks added, so I have been given my orders...30 lbs...or no surgery....If I follow EXACTLY what he says to do he says I will have no problems and if I don't see results after about a month than we can work more on trying something else. Surgery is tentatively scheduled for September!! I have to have the 30 lbs down though too I will get the call in roughly 2 weeks on the exact day!!! 2.) Psychiatrist (sp?) Dr. Judith Olmstead Real nice lady, makes you feel real comfortable and is very thurough with her questioning. Final Answer!! "YOU ARE A GREAT CANIDATE FOR SURGERY" DUHHHHH hahaha 3.) Internist! Dr. Grant Kingsbury Funny guy!!! Puts you at ease...went over test results and all the fun stuff, did another ekg, everythings great!!! SO HERE WE GO!! I have 4 1/2 months (roughly****il surgery!!! Shannon, I have been checking the board all day waiting to hear from you. Glad to see everything went well. Woooohooooo only 4 1/2 months to go! I think it will fly by for you. Just think this is the last summer that you will be heavy, by next summer you will be a thin mint (yayyyyyyy). I am so happy for you. Which procedure are you going with? Are you having the surgery laproscopically, is that why you need to lose 30lbs? I am rooting for you girly! Love Marianne

Hey!! I just wanted to say congratulations! I think I saw all the exact same people you did except I had Dr. Rumsey. I also thought Dr. Kingsbury was very funny. I remember asking him why my liver was large, and he was just like "Well look sweetie, everything on you is bigger" LOL! Couldn't help but laugh at that one. You're in very good hands and 4 and a half months will fly by. Just make sure to lose the weight they told you too, they are very strict about it sometimes. I've been with Dr. Leo for most of my post op appointments and he's wonderful! He really cares about all of his patients and he definitely shows it. Good luck and take care! -Monika

Sure, my nick is MissMokey8. They were pretty good when I went there, I had to call a lot but I eventually got everything done. The only complaint I have is that I live in the bay area and they aren't coming up here as often anymore to do post op visits. I would have really liked to be able to do my post op work with Dr. Rumsey since he's the one who did my surgery, but I haven't been able to. They also won't return my calls about post op questions and apparently their post op number they gave me doesn't work anymore. But as far as surgical skill goes they were awesome, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Talk to you soon! -Monika
