New to Board too
Hi, my name is Sarah and I'm 22 years old. My consult is next thursday (may 20) with Dr. Zahn in Phoenix, Arizona. Any advice anyone has for me would be greatly appreciated. I've started eating lots of protein and no water 30 minutes before during or after eating, no carbonated beverages, sipping my water, 15 chews/bite, I exercise 5 times per week, and I eat five times per day. Anything else I should be doing right away? I don't smoke, and I haven't been drinking because I know I'm having the surgery. I'm seeing a behavior modification psychologist and am in my third week. I've sent in all paper work to my surgeon, had a psych evaluation, and it seems like all that is left is the consult and surgery. Any advice would be outstanding though!
Hi Sarah! I am awaiting my consult so I don't have much advice for you, but I wanted to welcome you to the board. I am 22 years old as well awaiting consult on July 27th. I still have a long way to go. It's funny I will be visiting Phoenix on May 24th on business. I am very nervous I have never been on a plane before. Is it real hot in Arizona?
Welcome to the board!!!
It's pretty warm in Arizona... but you'll be fine. No worries about the plane ride. I hate going on planes cause my butt doesn't fit in the seats. I always pray that I'm either sitting next to a really small person... or there is an empty seat between me and the other person in my row. You'll be fine, I'll be thinkin about you
Hi Sarah!
Welcome to the board! I'm 23 and live in California. It sounds like you have everything in order. I think the waiting to drink water after eating is a good idea because that has really been the hardest thing for me to get used to. Just try to stay calm and have a great time! Good luck!
