Im at a loss...

Well Im new to the forum but have been on this site for a year...I am 18 and jus found out that my insurance will not cover my surgery so therefore im basically screwed... I would do self pay but i cant afford it...I'm currently at 270lb and wanting to be at a good 130lb and right now im about to lose all hope any words of wisdom/encouragement are greatly welcomed!! P.S. I Need a Angel and Glad to be someones angel!!

APPEAL APPEAL APPEAL! Anything worth doing is worth fighting for. If you KNOW that you need this surgery and there is NO OTHER WAY, you have got to be willing to fight for what you need and deserve. Somewhere on here, I think it's in the WLS Journey section, there is an example of an appeal letter. Get to work on that right away! ~Meggan

well I havent actally applied for approval yet because we couldnt find a surgeon in texas that would perform the surgery on anyone under 18 and i just turned 18 1 month & 23 days ago... so i've now started contacting BTC in hopes that i can get it done... Just waiting for a little to grant my wish... *~*~*Meagan*~*~*
