Surgery obsessed!
After my mom had WLS surgery 8 months ago I've become obsessed with surgery. She's lost over 100 lbs and is now a size 3-4. Since March I've been going through the process of getting started my self. I'm currently waiting on my approval for the surgery. I must say my life is consumed with thinking about my surgery. I think about it all day, I have dreams about being skinny and I love to look at fashion magazines in hope of what my body will look like and the clothes I will be able to wear! When I went to my Psych evaluation my psychologist said that it's like starting a new life, because you won't be consumed with food and I'll have so much more time to do stuff. I can't wait to go to the gym in a sports bra and tight pants and I'm constantly thinking of all the things I want to do with my self. Is anyone else just as consumed with WLS as I am?
I am. I think that a lot of people feel the same. Once you decide that the surgery is something you want to do it's really hard not to think about how it will change your life. Before I would think about losing weight and it never seemed real to me, but now that I have a date I can finally actually believe that one day I won't be fat anymore. That has to be one of the most liberating feelings in the world. Well ne way, I hope you do well with your WLS journey.
