Any Doctors in Pa?

Hi! Im looking for a doctor who will does surgery on teens in Pennsylvania? Lapband is what im looking to have. Im 16 and 300 pounds

I just did a search on the "find a doc" engine here on Obesity Help.com...and I found that James Koren does the lap band on 16 yr olds. So, check him out. ~Meggan PS. Use the engine...that's what it's her for!!!

I did use the engine but only 1 of the doctors takes my health insurance. Thanks for your reply.

I don't know of any doctors in your area, but you may want to consider a different type of surgery...i've heard nothing but bad stuff about the band..

Bad stuff about the lapband? The Lapband is much less dangerous and when my weight loss slows down, I can have what is called a fill to tighten my band which will "help" me continue to loose weight. I know many people who had gastric bypass and after 8 months to a year couldnt lose anymore or started gaining back. Either surgery is good for different people. You have to work hard with this wonderful "tool" called Surgery.
