Teen wishing for WLS

Heyyy ya'll!! What's up?? Me- nothin much. Well...I'm 15 years old, and I wish I could have the WLS! I don't have the finances to have it, and I can't find any surgeons that do it on teens my age. I know there are some surgeons that do the gastric bypass on people as young as 14, but there aren't many of them. Most I have seen have a minimum age requirement of 16, so you arent that far off. Have you checked the surgeon listings on this website. They are really helpful, you can see if the particular surgeons take your insurance and what their age requirements are. Good Luck!

Hello, im 15 also, but i am hoping to have this surgery this summer. im not sure about where you live,but i know that Cinicinati, ohio's childrens hospitals do this surgery on teens. it is kinda a long ways away , but doctor Garcia is a great doctor. Plus the change in your life is way worth the drive. but you should cheek out the hospitals, around you, lots more teens are having this surgery. i think the hardest thing you;ll have is gettign the insurence company to pay for it... good luck, if ya need someone ot talk to or any more questions that i may be able to answer your more than welcome to ask.
