Woohoo! Congrats on your surgery date! For me, I started at 269 pounds. I lost about 60 in the first 3-4 months. From then on it's been about 10 pounds per month...dwindle dwindle it's now very very slow and full of plateaus. I hit 158 (lost 8 pounds in a week) when I went on atkins for a week. I then blew that and went back up to 162. Now i'm REALLY trying to fix my eating...hopefully i'll be able to get down to about 150. Would love to be in the 140's. I also work out daily, cardio and weights for 2 hours. I've been doing that since about 3 weeks out. For some reason, I don't look like I weigh as much that I do. I wear a size 10/12 and medium in shirts. I'm satisfied with my weight, however still wouldn't mind being smaller. I'm having a TT and breast lift with augmentation in May! I'm 20 as well, and actually have never been a drinker. So no, I don't drink and really am afraid to try anything as I dump on liquid sugar. Almost all alcoholic drinks have a good amount of sugar in them, not good! However, yes post ops do drink in moderation. Smoking, don't go back to it. I personally think smoking is a horrible habit and don't understand why people do it, so if you can quit, there is no reason to start it up again. WLS is to be healthy! Best of Luck! Natalie

my mom was able to drink again after 6 months although i do think you should wait longer , unless you are talking about pop my mom began drinking DIET FLATTINED FOR 3 DAYS pop 8 months after , and smoking my mom started that about 2 months after although she was told not to smoke again ( she still does) which is a bummer , i think if you go until june with out smoking mybe you should keep it going and try to quit, its not that healthy for yuo, but then what do i know im just 15.
