Hospitals will usually let you have at least one person stay in the room with you, but the policy changes from hospital to hospital. You should call the hospital you are going to be in, or your surgeon and find out for sure.

Hey dont worry! Ive never heard of a hospital making everyone leave. My mom stayed with me during my other surgery and she is going to for my gastric bypass too! She said if the nurses could pick her up and move her that would be the only way she left! LOL! If for ANY reason they were asked to leave, there will most likely be a waiting room right down the hall that they can stay in, but I can almost promise you that at least ONE of them will get to stay at all times!
