awesome. i had weight loss surgery (vsg) a few days before my 16th birthday.. definatley one of the best things that i could ever do for myself. I hope the girl mentioned in the article gets back on track and hits her goal.

They're definatley valid. But I'm more concerned abuot what would happen to me if my metabolic issues kept progressing, and i kept gaining weight.. I've been physically done growing height wise since for three years before surgery.. and i know your bone density still devlopes and mental development, but physically you're pretty much done growing.. at least for me, i was. and I went through extensive testing before i was cleared for surgery, which i think everyone (not just teenagers) should be put through to see if you really are able to handle it.. Physically and mentally. You gotta prioritize.. wait an extra four years to have surgery, but risk all the damage that could be done.. or have the surgery when your younger, and see just what happens, since there really isn't much research done so far for the long term progression of the surgery i had (vsg).. I took aprt in a research study, and i'm still in part ofit, tracking. but i guess just gotta wait and see.
