DS and Ohip funding?
Hey,
I am 18.. and about 6months ago I started reserching WLS, and disided the one that seems to be best for me would be the DS. My moms friend resently had the surgery and is doing amazing. Ohip covered her surgery, but I have since heard that they no longer will cover DS. (I live in canada btw) does anyone know if this is true? I am 5'10" and 310lbs.. bmi of 44.5.. and I really want to do this.. but I'm not sure if there is any chances of my WLS being funded.. and if not then there is no chances of it happening because I can't afford it. I'm scared if I dont do something soon.. well.. I just need to do something soon.. i have enough extra wieght that there could be a full other person

Megan- Yes, OHIP does fund WLS. There are plenty of different options. Don't let it get to you. There is a Ontario forum I would suggest you look at- plenty of help there.
