15 YO Daughter is size 18/XL -- Where to buy cute clothes?

Hi everyone!

We had a crisis at home today -- The 15 year old daughter is going off to her first day of HS, thoroughly demoralized because she couldn't find anything cute or that her father or I thought was appropriate and/or flattering.

She is 5'3" and size 18.

I want her to be confident at any size or body shape -- BUT . . .

Where can teenage girls get cute clothes, size 18?  Most teen shops don't have size 18, or even XL -- when they do, it's a very SMALL size 18, kwim?

Thanks for your help!

We actually found a really nice place for cute teen clothes this weekend for plus size. I don't know if you have a Deb Department Store where you are located, but they also have an online store at http://www.debshops.com/home/index.jsp

They have junior plus clothing that my daughter just loves. We shopped there this weekend in Branson, Missouri and she was in heaven - finally clothes age appropriate and fashionable in a plus size!! Good luck!

I'm 19,  5 ft 3 and 18/20 and I wear jeans from lane bryant/  Old Navy and tops from Old Navy, Torrid, Target and Lane Bryant. I've been about the same size since 13, so I know these places have cute clothes for teens, however, the jeans at lane bryant, while super cute, are also kinda expensive, so i would hit them up during a sale. I really recomend torrid though!

I'm currently a size 18/XL and get ALL my clothes at either old navy, target, or TJMAXX/Ross. However, when I was in HS I LIVED for torrid. While slightly pricey, it was completely worth it because they had such variety of brands and styles. I got almost all of my school dance dresses there too. Also, www.alloy.com has some cute stuff as well. Best of luck!

My daughter probably has the same measurements :0)

She's 14 and in HS too.  I buy my daughters clothes from either Torrid (www.torrid.com), Old Navy Online (www.oldnavy.com), Wet Seal (they have plus sizes online www.wetseal.com),  and sometimes we just to New York & Co. and depending on what we are looking for LB.   There's a lot of variety out there, just try it!

Torrid would be a must, I buy most of my cloths there.
They are a bit pricey but you can always find discounts if you
buy them online.
