I am a 19yo with a surgery date!

I would love to have some people to talk (closer to my age) who have or are currently going through this amazing experience! I am a 19yo female who is 100 lbs overweight, have been my whole life, and I am getting LAP BAND surgery on the 22nd of this month! Feel free to friend me and introduce yourself! Hey, that is great that you have a surgery date. WHat surger are you having?  I am 19. I had my surgery on Jan. 29 of 2007 i was more then 100 lbs before my surgery. But it is great now i have lost almost 130lbs so far. It is jsut a process that you have to take one day at a time. Do you have any questions that i could anwser.

I am having a lap-band procedure. I wanted to make sure I could reverse it if I needed to gain weight for having a child in the future. What kind of work out stuff have you done in the past year? Any specific plan you were on or anything? Thanks!

Yes you sure can. Some people don't even need to have saline removed when pregnant, but you sure can. All you need to do is ask for an unfill due to pregnancy. One of the reasons I picked the band.

Hey Emily!  If you're looking for people close to your age you should check out the Weight Loss Surgery in Your 20's board, here is a link http://www.obesityhelp.com/forums/wls_in_your_20s/ I had my surgery when I was 19 too, I'm 21 now.  I know you're not 20 yet, but the folks on the 20's board are very close to our age and are really helpful.  You'll also find plenty of lap banders there too, and the board in general moves faster than this one, without all the extra drama of the main board.  I hope your surgery went well and I hope to see you on the 20's board when you get a chance!

hi im 18 and im going to be having a vsg on feb 12 i would also like to share my experince with other people around my age im just glad i found this website
