KYLIE WAS ON TV!!!

I was on TV!! NBC channel 11 in SF, san jose and oakland area. did a story on my gastric bypass journey. That was great to watch!  You are so beautiful! My 14-year old son is going to have the Rny on Friday.  They said your stomach is the size of a small avacado.  Did you have the Rny or a VGS? I'm trying to not be nervous.   I get to stay in the hospital room with him.  I had the DS almost 6 years ago.

I had the RNY, congrats to you and your son!!!  is he having it done with lucile packard?

He is having it done at UCSF with Dr. Posselt. He started out at 420 pounds, but has lost down to 340 (back up to 349 with "last meals"), and is now 6 foot, 1 inch tall.  I loved watching the videos about you.  He stopped going to school last winter.  just gave up, but then we went to a psychiatrist, and he started taking Welburtin which has helped him lose the weight.  But we still want the surgery because obesity, diabetes, and heart disease runs in our family. I am soooooo nervous!

My mom had surgery 4-5yrs ago. She was super nervous for me as well. That is so amazing he was able to lose weight before hand I did a doctor-supervised weight loss program before hand i didn't lose anything! so thats awsome for him. 6'1 geez tall, lol im 5'1 1/2 and yes i love that 1/2... All of those problems run in my family as well. I'm really happy for him and I wish all the best!!

Kylie, You look so great! Thats so cool they did a segment on you! You are such an encouragement to me and I am sure other teens out there!

Hello Kylie, I watched your story on gastric bypass journey. During The video you said that you got headaches before the surgery. Also the condition that you had could cause eye problems. Do you have what is called pseudo tumor cerebrii. This cause headaches and posiable  blindness too. It usually affects over weight woman and young girls. My daughter is 15 and she has this.  Thank you, Cathy

Yup thats exactly what I had.. I told them that, I think the reporter couldn't say it? haha idk. What are they doing for your daughter? and weightloss helps dramatically.
