Hey everyone!!

Hey guys! I'm Robin- 18 from NY. So basicly this is my second time persuing WLS- its a very long story (You can read my page for more info if you want) but when I was 16 i was really close to having the Lap Band, did all the pre surgery stuff and then way late in the process found out that my insurence didn't cover it, and because of my age my surgeon wouldn't do RNY. So Here I am 2 years later, 18 and now i qualify for RNY. Im starting all over and really hope to get things moving soon. I have to update a few things with my insurence this week and once that clears im making a new consult Apt with my surgeon. Im thinking of shopping around a bit for a surgeon so there are a few I may go to consults on. Now I actually have the option of searching around because i'm 18. So just wanted to say i big old HI to everyone!!I'd love to chat with anyone whos in the same boat as me, or who has had the surgery, what ever. Always great to have people who know what your going through!

Hey Robin Wow, your story sounds just like mine! I am 18 now and perrsuing RNY! Its good to hear someone that has went through the same things as I have! Good luck!!

Thanks everyone! :) You know as I was reading back posts and such on here I was seeing that alot of people have had the same situation- persued WLS when they were about 16 or so and for some reason, either denial, age, coverage- didn't get it done and are startinging over now. So nice to see i'm not the only one starting over! Well If anyone ever wants to chat or anything let me know- message me on here! I shall update everyone when something changes in my situation! :)
