Hey Everyone!!!

Hey guys!! My name is Shannon.  I just now got an ObesityHelp site. I have struggled with an obesity problem as far as I can  remember.  It started when i was 3 years old. Even though I am...wel lets just say it...FAT... I am still like everyone else.  I like making friends and meeting new people.  I got a page on this website so I could talk to some people that have the same problem as me. I have not gotten a surgery yet due to the age ordeal.  I don't know if I will ever get surgery though because it seems scary. I do not like being fat. Well, who does? lol. But I hope to change what i look like in the near future. Well I gotta go, but it was nice talking to you all. Bye for now!!!  P.S. Shannon, Believe me I know how you feel. I have been overweight all my life. I have been on diets since I was in 5th grade.  I have lived a pretty normal life. I was made fun of, and still am which is hard to believe that seniors in high school act so childish. O well, I am use to it. Anyways, I am here if ya need to talk. I am hoping to have the lapband. Hey Shannon! I havent gotten surgery either, I plan to. I won't give up until I get my way =]. I've been overweight all my life and now am that dreaded weird word "OBESE" ..but like you said "I am still like everyone else." I feel ya, seems like people are hypocrites towards people with weight problems like since we are fat or something that we have a disease in which we arent normal. Sometimes I wonder, well welcome to the boards and good luck! I think I have you added on my friends list already but I'm trying to figure out how to post on my profile page..ttyl, C'YA. -maggie
