I turned 19 in October. I hope to have LAP RNY in early 2007. I've been posting since I joined OH on the Main Forum, but I was happy to see a Forum for teens like myself. If anyone is interested in chatting.. AIM: LynnieB0t e-mail: [email protected]

Hey, glad you're here. I don't post much or even get on the internet that much, but I thought I'd say hi. It is good to see teens like myself here. I had the surgery when I was 18 last June and turned 19 last February. Now you said, the lap rny.. do you mean lapband or roux-en-y gastric bypass?.. they are different.

By LAP RNY I mean Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass.. I think it combines both methods very well. Did you have open RNY?

Ohh.. lol - that's my bad. I should have known.. That was obvious.. -- and I even had that myself. So no, I didn't have open rny.

Pre-Op: 239 lbs on day of surgery (249 lbs highest I've ever weighed) Post-Op: Right now I hover inbetween 123-131. Height before and after: 5'4 ¾" I lost all my weight in about a year or so.. a total of 116 lbs. My mom lost 140 lbs and she'll be at her 3 year post-op mark on the 8th of dec. To be honest, I don't work out. I used to after the surgery, but as time progressed, I gradually stopped. I obviously need to as it's essential after the surgery and I have no excuse as to why I don't.. but I know someday I will. It's in the books. I believe after I move I will start up again. Thank you and good luck to you, too!
