Hey Angela I'm a pre-op LapBander. I've decided that when I hit goal I will get a circular tattoo (like they do around the navel) around my port site. I haven't decided just yet what it will be, but it will be my symbol of freedom from a lifetime of being overweight...I figure I will have some time to fine tune exactly how I want it to look. I already have a blue crescent moon with a vine twining around it with little purple flowers just above my left breast. I got that to symbolize emotional growth, seeking wisdom and it also is a "C" which is my husband initial. On my back right shoulder area I have the sun inside a circle that is divided into colors representing the four seasons. I got this one to symbolize the passage of time and always having 'sunlight on my back' Someday I want to get a small seashell on my ankle for my love of the ocean and I am also thinking about getting a pelican in flight across my upper thigh (or somewhere!). I love pelicans. To me that will symbolize that there is beauty and grace even when you are 'odd/funny/not classically beautiful' Gee, I guess from this you can see I'm heavily into tattoos that have deep meaning to the body they are on?

Well I have 5 so far and number 6 is on its way. But I have on the back of my neck japense that says desire. my back i have a naked lady sitting on an 8ball and it says wild child. my arm i have a big sun with 69 sign in the middle. my whole calf has a witch with a full moon and wolfs head with a huge black cat. and on my other ankle I have a long stem rose stabbing through a heart. my new one is going to be on my lower back its going to be old english and my husband wants it to say sweetness.
